Giuliano Joins Bipartisan Effort to Close Budget Deficit
In bipartisan collaboration, Rep. Marilyn Giuliano of Old Saybrook has joined legislative Republicans and Democrats to adopt a deficit mitigation package that closes $1.2 billion of the budget deficit for the current fiscal year ending this June. The compromise included no cuts in state aid to cities and towns, no tax increases, and took a $271 million portion of the state’s $1.4 billion Rainy Day Fund. Read More ...
